I am just going to put a shortened version what I sent to you in our last text exchange. Unfortunately with the way your daughter talked to Chanelle and then you sending me a text at 130 in the morning basically saying my salon, myself and Chanelle are liars and worthless, well I didn't feel the need to engage anymore. And by the way being disparaging against Great Clips is basically saying the people that work there aren't any good, shame on you, that is a company that employs people all over the country!Those people work really hard and shouldn't be used as an insult.When your daughter got here, 30 minutes late, she was wanting a fashion color with pre lightening which is $350, a long hair cut and style $75 and all over color $100. After Chanelle discussed it with your daughter, she felt that was not in her budget so they decided on balayage with haircut and all over color total $350 but she only charged her $275 and then spent 5 hours doing her hair. Per their first text exchange before the appointment your daughter did talk about what she wanted and sent 1 photo and Chanelle responded with “thank you so much for the pic! This helps a bunch! I will go to the store tomorrow and grab some options and either way we will get you looking good. Unsure on promised results but we can chat more and figure out a game plan. But this just helps me prepare and have things on hand. Box dye does change things but it’s all doable- eventually.” This is managing the expectation and not making any sort of promises. Chanelle told her how regular highlights would stand out more and cost a little less but your daughter did decide at the consultation she wanted balayage, which is a more subtle look. Then from a swatch book they picked the base color, together. Your daughter’s hair had box dye that was a level 5-6 and it was pretty patchy so they decided, together, on a swatch that would bring her to a level 3. She didn’t want it as dark as the photo but closer to her natural color. They also went over the placement of the balayage pieces. It was explained to her that they would be a golden sun-kissed color but a toner wouldn’t be used so that the cuticle would still be open since she was going to do the fashion color herself at home. (It was insinuated that a cut wasn’t done, just thinning shears used but the mom left and wasn’t around for pretty much the whole appointment.)She already had bangs and they were shaped and made more into the curtain style. She also fixed her framing up front, removed dead ends and added long layers. Throughout the whole process your daughter and Chanelle agreed on what was going to be done and Chanelle delivered that. Chanelle has been doing hair for almost as long as your daughter has been alive and the reason Chanelle decided to end the text conversation with her when she insinuated that she didn’t know what she was doing. Your daughter was petulant and downright rude in her text messages.Your daughter wanted and needed help deciding what was going to work on her hair and Chanelle took her on that journey. She was told, in the very beginning that to get her hair to what she wanted is a process. In all the years that Chanelle and I have worked together your daughter is the first person to not be happy. Chanelle even offered solutions but it wasn’t enough. It’s unfortunate that your daughter changed her mind because before she left she was asked how she liked it and she said she loved it. Picking out the color herself, being told it wouldn’t be toned so she could put the fashion color on it herself, she agreed to it all and was told it wouldn’t be that dark or the highlights that chunky because it’s hand painted. Chanelle went above and beyond making sure she understood what she was getting. And unfortunately she still didn’t understand and was expecting something different. I also added the pictures of your daughter’s hair to our page so everyone can see how we are soooo horrible we shouldn’t even be allowed to work on stray dogs…
