The HUB has been around for a while, with the original location out in East Mesa. I had friends and family who used to go, but I never really had a hankering to go. It was until recently after a visit with friends who picked it as our lunch spot that I realized they had a pretty good selection on their menu. It was because of that visit that I was craving an item a friend had ordered on our last visit. Order: Stuffed Green Chiles: Anaheim peppers with chorizo, melted cheese, jalapeno cream sauce & pico. Buffalo Chicken Pasta: Crispy chicken tenders with spiral mac noodles in a chipotle cream sauce, el jefe wing sauce with bacon & green onions Hand-battered fried pork loin served on country white bun with lettuce, tomato & onion. Roasted garlic & scallion mayo on the side For the Green Chiles, you get 4 of them, and they are pretty good size. It's definitely a sharable plate. There is no spice to them, but I do have a high spice tolerance, so take that for what you will. The chorizo is so so but together the combination of spices, cheese, and chorizo make for a good flavor combo. The Buffalo Chicken Pasta is what I was craving. It's basically like a light version of a Mac N Cheese with cut-up Buffalo Chicken Strips and charred pieces of bacon. I am also a fan of their Buffalo sauce. It's a little more on the vinegar side, but it's super good. I asked for a side so that I could dip each bite. The chicken strips could have been a bit crisper for my liking, but overall, a good crisp. The fried pork loin was not my order, but from my quick sampling, I would say it was...meh. The pork loin, however, is a pretty good size. This HUB is an Ahwatukee and is a pretty good size. I would say it took a little bit longer than normal to get our food, but that seems to be the case these days most places. My last visit was at the one on McDowell which is a bit smaller and a little more my vibe. Overall, good food and great selection of menu items. Also, to note... Saturdays: $3 off starters, except for wings Thursdays: 1/2 off Pizzas (dine in only) Check time restrictions
