This review is for Red mountain senior home not red mountain reflections but both are owned by anthony and janette zarelli. There is not a place to review red mountain senior home on yahoo. My grandmother had to put my grandpa in red mountain senior home while waiting for a VA approval to put him in a home the VA would pay for. It is a process and she needed immediate care for him as she is 83 and unable to meet his needs as he is a fall risk. Red mountain was close by her house but she had to pay out of pocket for the time being while waiting on VA nursing home. He was admitted in mid November and only paid for the days he started living there, not the whole month of November. Dec 1st she paid the whole month of dec fees of $3500. On Dec 7th my grandpa and all his belongings were moved out and they are now refusing to refund my grandma for the remaining 3 weeks of December she paid for. The owner Jeanette said she would prorate the amount back to my grandma when he left. They knew this was a temp situation and he was waiting on his VA benefits to process to be transferred. Jeanette stated in front of the hospice nurse, my uncle and grandmother she would prorate the amount of days he wasn't there back, but now they are refusing to honor this. She has now stated that she meant she would prorate any amount back if my grandma paid for January and he was moved in January (this was not what what was stated, they just want to keep the funds and this is how they are justifying dishonesty.) What would be the difference in January that you couldn't do the same in December? This a hard time on my grandma as she is 83 with her own health issues, her husband is dying (she has been told 2 times in 2 months he is on his last few days then his health improves) and she shouldn't have to deal with people who are dishonest and preying on people at such a vulnerable time. So they now have been paid for 3 weeks of housing/care they are not providing. Also it's highly suspicious that the 5 star reviews given to a business is by the owner herself. Upon further review the 5 star reviews on the facebook page is from family members. This is not a trustworthy business.

Stay clear of this assisted living facility. While this home may be okay for a person who doesn't need much assistance it is not for someone who is in palliative care or hospice. They are not equipped to take care of someone who is bed bound, on oxygen, has a catheter and cannot eat properly. They are understaffed for the amount of residents they have. They have 1 staff member fixing dinner, setting the table, serving the food and then cleaning everything up afterwards. So if you are unable to get to the dining room by yourself - you may get hungry. But you won't hear this from the owners. According to them they can accommodate any and all levels of care needed and they only accept your money upfront. But once you realize you have been falsely reassured that your loved one is in a good place - good luck getting a reimbursement back from them if you decide to move your loved one to a new facility. Anthony Zerilli is a greedy businessman who preys on the emotions and needs of families who are in distress. Best advice - stay clear of this facility.
