I had been impressed by the deco and atmosphere when I attended a wake several years ago, and when my mother died I knew immediately where I wanted to go. I am an interior designer and my senior thesis project was designing a funeral home. Most are just awful--dark and dated, not a place that makes you feel uplifted. Perna Dengler Roberts is different. Light and bright, with updated decor. The Venetian room has round tables in additional to more traditional chairs, and the ability to have a catered brunch or luncheon in the same space is wonderful. We brought a lot of memorabilia and things my mom loved and they augmented with things they had and added some unexpected and incredibly thoughtful touches. They genuinely cared. A lot. I will never go anywhere else, and I give them my highest recommendation. John Dengler was amazing to work with, and he and his team helped make a stressful and sad time in our lives much better.

With the unexpected loss of our loved one, we werent sure where to turn for services. After reading reviews we chose Perna, Dengler and Roberts and put our hearts in their hands. Our funeral director Steve did an amazing job, far exceeding our expectations and wishes for the services. The care and compassion shown by the whole staff put our hearts at ease that we had made the right choice.
