So I pick the truck up. 10am reservations, but there's one guy working off a laptop and an inkjet printer in a shack instead of an office.
Upshot for the customer, they can only process one person at a time, and it takes them 15 minutes apiece.
After being informed that I was still expected to return the truck at the time specified, I roll out 45 minutes late. With less than a quarter tank of gas.
The van woked fine, as far as that goes, but on returning it I get hassled that I "didn't bother to fill up" - I had, but only to the level it was at when I picked it up.
Fortunately, I pulled out the receipt from pickup which specified the gas level and the mileage. And then I noticed the mileage. I was apparently on the hook for 47 miles at $1.60 per, when I had traveled -maybe- 23.
Lesson learned, I should have checked the reciept before I signed it, but it's a reasonable expectation that you won't be swindled. Except at Mike's.
In summary, the trucks work, and if you live close by, they're your only option, but watch your butt, these guys are sharks.
