A sales woman came to me late in the evening under pretenses of being a carbon emissions safety inspector of sorts and pressured me into signing up for their service. I found a different provider and received a torrent of aggressive sales calls to get my business back, claiming "competitive market rates." A quick and easy Google search reveals that they charge 50+% more than the national average. Absolute bogus.
A 1 star review is too generous. MPower Energy will never have my business again.

They knock door to door. They get you to sign up thinking you will save money because its a "fixed rate". Do not be fooled. They make you believe what they are charging is close to what your local electric company is charging and it's not true. Very deceptive sales tactics- the fixed rate was DOUBLE what the local power company was charging per KWH. Do not sign up for their services unless you know how much you're paying per Kwh already.

Do not sign up for their bs green energy supply scam. Initially your bill will be low then they will hit you with ridiculous surcharges after 1year or less. My bill went up by over 100% by the second winter. It is a scam. Instead of working with you to reduce the bill, they will offer you a 100$ off your bill for the next couple of billing cycle. Stay away from these scammers.
