I'm an alumnus.  I think they provided a good education.  They have a lot of resources and caring teachers, and I felt well prepared for college.  I didn't love that it was such a massive school.  If I had a choice I would have picked a smaller high school to feel more connected to other students and better able to manage anxiety that persisted throughout high school.

Regarding an application. I reached out multiple times and once spoke with Connie and she hung up the phone on me and refused to give me the hiring managers information. They did not even give me a chance to interview even after multiple attempts to reach out. It was extremely hard to even get someone on the phone as the automated system would say "the operator is unavailable" and the persona that answered transferred me cold and was extremely rude. I would not even want to be an employee in a school as rude and unprofessional as so. I am not sure if it was because I was a black woman that I received this treatment but I would not recommend anyone to apply or work here. Makes me wonder how the administration handles students.

We've had an excellent experience so far at OPRF high school with two children attending a total of six and a half years at this point. The quality of their educations has been extraordinary and both children thrived with clubs, intramurals and other extracurricular activities including a study-abroad in Ireland trip for one child and a Washington DC Art History field trip for another. Shout out to the amazing counselors, Special Education team, and social workers. My kids have favorite teachers but too many to name personally. The arts program is the highest quality. Theater, too! The school board has been doing some wonderful work in the past few years. We appreciate the recent policy in support of transgender students and their work on improving racial equity. We have been really happy at OPRF and my kids are lucky to attend.
