I've worked here for over 2-1/2 years. My co-workers and I continually put in 50+ hour work weeks while standing on our feet the entire time with little to no notice of the mandatory overtime we receive each week.
AJ Manufacturing - Bloomer, WI only has management comprised of nothing more than "YES MEN" who'll say and do only what is needed to satisfy the owners wishes.
I had numerous safety issues go unanswered each and every time I brought them to their attention. Going to speak with anyone in upper management would always be on your own time because they're located in another building across town.
Even while speaking with the lady in human resources you got nothing more than double talk and promises. She should be their for the good of the employees.
I was promoted to a position where I should have received a substantial increase in salary, but I was only fed promises that they never kept.
My shift had gone from a normal 18-20 employees to only 9-10 employees during a 5 month period. Management kept telling us to keep up our good work while promising they'll hire more people and reduce the mandatory overtime every week. They did nothing to bring in any replacements or improve working conditions which only led now to a 6 day mandatory work week.
Penny-wise & dollar-foolish best discribes the way this facility is operated with 40+ year old unsafe equipment that repeatedly breaks down causing even more delays in orders.
Overall this is a very abusive work environment to be a part of at any level. If your the owner or any part of management here then treat your employees like you'd like to be treated. Show that you truly care.
Read your very own "AJ Ethics Policy"... Notice that you all are nothing you claim to be in that document. Change that document or change your ways. Stop the abuse...

Not real impressed with their customer service. I tried to order a replacement sash on line after speaking with a rep. The website wilould not link to the "shop" page so I called the SAME rep back and explained. She ended up putting the order thru and sent me the wrong item. Now, they tell me there's a 25% restocking fee PLUS I pay shipping!
Talk about highway robbery!!

AJ Manufacturing in Bloomer, WI posts a few documents in prominent areas of all their locations. The one that really stood out for me was their "Ethics Policy" it claims them to be such a fantastic organization to have in the community. So much of what they claim is mistruths if not flat out lies.
I wish to warn others of the way they had disposed of my 2-1/2 years of good hard work I put into my time there.
I was essentially disposed of because I raised questions numerous times about safety issues and had reasonable fixes for them. All my attempts at a resolution were squashed and went unanswered.
My income suffered after a promotion from promises they made for months about paying me what I was owed. Still I worked through believing their lies and promises.
My final straw (if you can call it that) was hearing the manager in charge of our building lie and make more of the same promises to everyone on our shift forcing us all into a mandatory 6 day work week with no end in sight.
This was only because of upper management "Cooking The Books" and not hiring new workers for many months. I spoke out to this "manager" about all his lies he didn't like it so he lied the next day and had me disposed of....
The next day I was isolated from all other employees outside the building and confronted by 4 members of management. Consisting of the HR lady who should have been there to hear my side of the story and the liar manager and 2 others (goons) to back up all of their actions.
This surprise confrontation outside in the cold by these 4 was purely done to isolate me from having any witnesses on my behalf. They easily could have talked to me indoors in private, but that might risk other employees on the job to witness that things were not out of the ordinary before, during or after the meeting.
While outside the 4 took turns at telling me how wrong I was for talking (TALKING) to that liar of a manager. They all got their kicks out of kicking me when I was down.
They left after about 20 minutes outside in the cold with the assurance that with 4 management officials words against mine without any witnesses, that they would have just the outcome they needed in any unemployment situation later on.
I left knowing just how evil this place is run and how without care or concern they can take away the livelyhood of those who put in all the work here on a daily basis.
Needless to say I had filed for unemployment due to wrongful termination and was turned down. Not once, but twice by the local office. My appeal to the office that oversees them and another office that oversees that one.
So after four attempts I got nowhere with the evil games AJ Manufacturing had played both with me and the unemployment office (which is supposed to be there for the worker not the corporate world).
The H.R. lady at AJ Manufacturing did absolutely nothing to represent me and my concerns (which is what she's supposed to do).
If this much evil is put forth just to protect a lying weasel of a bad manager with a fragile ego...
I can only imagine what else they'd do to others around them. These 4 individuals are as evil as they come.
Let's all do all we can to prevent these creeps from feeding off us all...
Remember if good people sit back and do nothing in the presence of evil then we are no better than the evil around us.
