If using a debit card. The minimum purchase is $10. It is well known that debit card has no transaction fee. I made 2 separate purchases. The first was $3, the male cashier didn't say anything. And then later a female cashier demanded a $10 purchase minimum. I was so confused.

Nice place, very friendly folks. Helped me get a good hiking map and did not gouge me on the price (Wilderness Press Big Sur and Ventana Wilderness Recreation Map is an expensive map if you buy it on Amazon... but it's definitely the "right map" for the area if you're hiking, and it's the one they carry.)
Good local knowledge, as well - with all the changes from the recent fires, I'd definitely recommend stopping in.

Good spot to grab some snacks....can get crazy expensive but for where you are, it is what it is

This is one of my favorite stops along the highway 1, each and every time I go in and spend some time here. Would definitely recommend walking around for a bit.

Friendly people, good selection of food & local items. A nice break when driving up or down the coast.
