Great opportunity to receive quality help at an affordable price and the fact that it is via zoom makes it easier

Maple Counseling Center helped me SO much. Beyond what I expected. Clean & Caring environment. They worked with my limited income. They helped me through PTSD after I was assaulted. They also offer group, family & telephone/online counseling. Grateful for the entire staff.

This place is a complete bunko operation. They are very eager to take your money, but that's about all they really have any desire to do at this place. They'll charge you a not so cheap fee just to hassle you at the door with a bunch of security checks, then interview you for about ten to fifteen minutes for a so-called evaluation, then not even tell you to your face that they want nothing to do with you! Nope, they just casually will call you over the phone and say "we're just poor helpless students here, not willing to take on real jobs,"--the end! Chances are if you do not live a life of ease and luxury like the therapists at this place do, you will likely get the boot from this place. There's a reason why they have all that heavy security there. I mean, who ever heard of a therapy center that needs heavy security? But they need it, because they know that a lot of people are likely after their hides.

Similar to another review, my husband and I decided to come here for couple's therapy and due to a past suicide attempt and ideation Fariba Rabizadeh decided that I was too much of a liability for my husband and to continue couple's therapy. Even though I see a therapist regularly outside of maple center and have my own psychiatrist. Their argument is that we need a higher level of care due to our current therapist being inexperienced. Well how else is she supposed to gain experience? It's unfortunate that this is how they choose to run business. Not only does it take weeks for you to be assigned someone to take the intake, it takes weeks to be assigned to someone. We had 1 session with the therapist and they decided to cancel on the day of our session. Seeking services at a place like this is a huge mistake. Especially if you're not doing well. This place is not for you if you're truly struggling because they will exacerbate what ever symptoms you already have. Their level of unprofessionalism is truly disheartening and beyond frustrating.

I had a very inhumane experience with them. I reached out during a vulnerable moment. They offered me hope, but left out, "the catch." They took my $35 "intake fee" and set me up with a therapist. I spent an hour filling out the paperwork and when I got to the end, it stated that every session is "filmed and or recorded" and upon signing I agree to this. I immediately canceled my session and asked for my money back. After 4 days of calling a detached, robotic sounding woman called me and told me the intake fee is "non refundable" because of the time it takes for them to fill out the paper work for me yet, THEY FILLED OUT NO PAPERWORK FOR ME SINCE I CANCELED MY INTAKE SESSION. She kept repeating, "the intake fee is non refundable." Had I been informed up front that my intimate, private sessions with a therapist would be filmed or recored I would have said, "no thank you" from the get- go. Why they don't they just put their subjects on speaker phone for the students to hear while they bare their soul? Absurd and inhumane experience. How sad that vulnerable people are being taken advantage of during such a time of need. $35 is a lot of money to me. It takes me over 2 hours to earn that will my wage. They wasted my time and money.
