Please avoid this place if youre brown and want a fair appraisal. Not sure if Morris Hodges still works for them but hes not personable, in fact dry! Comped our home with older homes in the area that werent even a close comparison because we have brand new, full basement and they were older, smaller homes without basementswtf! Also, will photo areas you specifically ask him not to in which he agreed. There was a corner of my huge bedroom I asked him not to photograph and he agreed. There was plenty of bedroom for him to photograph. Get report back and of my huge bedroom that was the corner he photographedso hes a liar as well! Also, the pictures were super weird for an appraisalhe was snapping areas that I felt were not necessary and the report instead of looking like an appraisal was looking like he was intending to list our home on a real estate site. Please search another company if youre brownits proven by statistics that across the country we are having to have our white friends sit in at our homes just to receive a fair assessment of its value and thats ridiculous. We will be getting another appraisal for sure! Hes now offering appraisals through his own business Morris HODGES APPRAISALS (Bessemer) as well!
