I attended my cousin's wedding here a few weeks ago and everything was beautiful. We got rainy weather, but there was enough room in the venue to seat everyone inside comfortably even though we planned on using the fire pit and spending more time outside during the wedding festivities. Would definitely recommend this venue for a wedding or any kind of fun party. :)

Wanted to be sure to say how much we enjoyed our second visit (June '19 - "Always, Patsy Cline", and Aug '23 - "Godspell"). My wife and I live in St. Joseph, MO, and have been involved here in numerous productions with our community theater (Robidoux Resident Theater) since the early 80's on the main stage and in our dinner theater. We also serve the local company when not performing by running the dining hall and kitchen for the dinner theater shows. She has twice had the role of Louise in "Always", and the two of us have performed in "Godspell" a combined 6 times here in the area. We stumbled on Hackmatack on our 2nd trip to Maine in 2019, wanting to spend some of our time seeing local community and professional theater while traveling. We were overwhelmingly pleasantly surprised and impressed with this venue, its welcoming and comfortable atmosphere and the truly impressive talent displayed. Their recent production of "Godspell" did not disappoint! Many of the choices made for staging were uniquely thought out and added to the strength of the message; especially the crucifixion/"resurrection". The set, the musicianship of the band, the lighting, the sound...? Just a super evening and a superb job all around. Even the helpers in the concessions were all very warm and friendly. On a side note, we really enjoyed meeting and talking with a couple of the locals and the owner and his sons. Thanks for your decision to keep your theater alive/open and shows coming for locals and folks like us who "Come From Away". Hope to do/see that show some day. If we're anywhere near in the future, know that we will go out of our way to schedule another visit.
