We brought our 5ct Fancy intense yellow diamond pear shape as the center piece of an heirloom for JP after being referred to him by our realtor as the custom jewelry guy in the area. I am having diamonds from my grandmother who passed at 96yrs heirloom jewelry put in the setting for the diamond. He told my husband it wasnt his style and he couldnt/wouldnt do a custom setting. Mind you, we showed him a custom setting he had show cased on his website that was EXACTLY what he had already done!!! The way he handled our request was unprofessional, narcissistic and he obviously thinks hes working in Beverly Hills too big for his britches and when it comes to actually doing the work he cant hang - per 3 other custom jewelers we have consulted. He just didnt want to actually do the work was exactly what they said. Taking the diamonds out of my grandmas rings.., too much work, a real custom build up, but remember he could have already used one of his previous molds, too much work. He is a self designated jewelry designer who doesnt know how OR WANT TO put the work in and was very dismissive. Very disappointing. Our last custom Jeweler learned from his Father, he passed, but you sir are a hyena selling yourself as an actual dog when your just gaslighting and pretending. Good luck!! In my opinion hes looking for an easy buck. Get your custom Jewelry done elsewhere ladies. I am spreading this like fire in my circle who have custom pieces done a lot. #overrated #johnpauldesignsoverrated

John Paul and his incredible staff are simply A-mazing! His brilliance and incredible artistic eye surpasses anything Ive found when looking for wedding rings. Mind you, Im from So. Ca (dont hold it against me.). From Los Angeles to Laguna Beach Ive search for the perfect style and design when repurposing some family diamonds. Nothing comes remotely close to John Paul Designs. This is our third trip from Southern California to his store. Just my humble opinion, but this man has a true gift to bring beauty to any stone and create the perfect setting. Best experience EVER with him and the ever so lovely Amy. We cant wait to return when you finished our travel rings. Cant wait to see how you show make them sparkle!

The design process was easy and thoughtful. He truly listened to what I wanted and was interested in hearing the history behind the stones I was using. He not only excels at making pieces that are handcrafted and exquisite, but they also tell a story. He took the time to collaborate and made exactly what I wanted with his unique style.
