I've now received several bills from this group following appointments that my insurance company arranged for me with Foresight Medical. I did everything by the book (sotospeak)... called insurance and asked for the provider within my plan that I'd have a zero dollar deductible with. They found me a provider and set up the appt. Then... BOOM time to start receiving invoices directly to me. Grrr.
Following the first invoice, I had to make several calls and finally got them to send it to insurance. Then, the second time was for the same issues. Now I'm receiving 3rd invoice for a separate visit. I'm not sure how screwed up someone's billing can be that they fail to send statements to insurance. Unbelievable.
Furthermore, I've placed several calls that go unanswered. It's frustrating enough nowadays dealing with medical concerns... now we gotta add stress, anxiety, anger, and resentment to the list. Thanks, AthenaHealth, for partnering with Foresight Medical and making a mess of the billing process.

Do not use these folks, unless you plan on staying with them forever.
I got out from them 2 years ago, and there are STILL payments going to their PO Box in Belfast, ME, and they automatically shred these.
They do not provide any effort to forward these payments, or not a single iota of help to track all of these payments beyond 90 days from contract end date. However, this is NOT realistic because insurance claims may be paid 1-2 years out in some instances, and there are a great deal of insurance payers to keep track of.
If you go to their post office in downtown Belfast to set up mail forwarding, the postal clerk will tell you this is IMPOSSIBLE because believe it or not, those PO Boxes listed on the payment checks are owned by Athena, so the post office has no access to these.
This BS has costed my practice $1000s of dollars in lost revenue, and $1000s more in the exodus of irate patients who don't know where their insurance payments went.
Their billing processes were NOT transparent, and no one gave us a list of insurances to contact to fix these misplaced payments.
