Sorry to see R/S close especially given the growing 'maker' trend. This brand has been a favorite for 40 years from the battery club to the TRS-80 (jokingly named the trash-80) all based on a famous z80 chip when things like lower case letters was not yet a feature but computing had its first chance to be wide spread consumable. The store played a purpose for us original makers who fixed our own radios and home electronics and cars before they were made disposable. Thankful that for many years they balanced their utility as a destination to outlive its rivals like Heathkit.
The manager of this store was a very nice and helpful woman that worked hard and memorized everything including the entire battery section and the cross reference equivalent for every button battery. I wish her well as I watch them close the doors today.
