I can't say enough good things about Davis Lock & Safe. A local dealership's shop checked out a few things, including an ignition issue. The dealership quoted me about $1,100 to replace the entire ignition system and for a new key, as mine was a little bent. I balked and called an independent mechanic to check it out. Instead, he suggested I just take the car and key to Davis. The gentleman at Davis noticed the bent key and straightened it, which long story short turned out to be the only problem. He REFUSED to take any money for saving me over a grand. I've waited more than half a year to write this review just to make sure that there actually wasn't a bigger problem lurking. There wasn't. The starter is totally fine, and Davis will be the first place I go whenever I have a problem with any type of lock or key.

I received poor customer service today. I bought an additional key for my new (to me) car that caused the car alarm to go off when I opened the door. I was told that they don't replace or refund for keys and the manager said that "you ask for a key and we give you a key" and that "I should have known" that the key would trigger the alarm and that this is "common knowledge." Well, it wasn't to me and the salesman never said that when he sold me the key for $200. It's not just the wasted money that hurts. It's the shaming and the dismissive attitude that I received that sticks with me. I have to believe it was because I am female that I was treated this way. All the men in the store were treated respectfully and the guys working there were diligently helping them with their needs. It turns out that the dealer where I bought the car can provide a key that is programmed properly and won't trigger the alarm. Plus, it will be less expensive than Davis. Beware of Davis' customer service, especially if you're female.

Highly recommend - they helped me fix a broken Toyota ignition. Even though they were about to close early for the Christmas holiday they went above and beyond and squeezed it in. Very efficient, professional, and great at providing clear explanations of the most cost effective and reliable solutions.
