Been here about 4 times over the course of 8 months. The décor is kid friendly but there is very little in the waiting room to actually entertain little ones other than a fish tank. So bring toys and books from home. Last pediatrician had books, toys, and a TV monitor playing kid DVDs in both the healthy and sick waiting room. Last pediatrician provided an info sheet on what vaccination they were administering and why and it included information on what to do in case of a reaction. Previous pediatrician also always gave me a general info sheet with height, weight, and developmental progress I should be looking for over the next few weeks/months. I have only have gotten one general info sheet from this practice. Been there four times for the standard preventative Obamacare covered wellness checks, but only have ever met the PAs. Not that my child has ever been ill or that I have been unhappy with the service...... But they don't bill my insurance less because I see P.A. instead of a Doctor. There is a difference in pay between Doctors and P.A.s, and a difference in schooling. Lastly, there fees are high, $10 a form for immunization records and statement of health for preschool or daycare. My last pediatrician in area with nearly double the cost of living as Austin and the highest childcare costs in U.S. at the time when I live there charged a $1 per page and $7.50 for paper and CD copy of all of my child's medical records when we moved. This office is convenient to Seton Hospital. Not unhappy but not really going to recommend them either.
