If I could give Dr. Fan 100 stars I would! HIGHLY highly recommend Dr. Fan for any pain you may have. I want to preface that Ive been told by many practitioners that Im a lost cause or surgery is the only way but still not a fix or Im a very complex case Dr. Fan has been a true healer and his commitment to helping me is immeasurable.
He has helped me heal a lot from over 20 years of chronic pain and inflammation that has given me insomnia for years. Dr. Fan helped me go from 1-2 hours of sleep to 6-8 hours, which is phenomenal and something I thought would never happen since Ive tried many prescription sleep and pain meds to no avail.
He intently listens and asks very thoughtful questions to figure out the best treatment for me, which I greatly appreciate. Dr. Fan also makes me feel heard while also educating me - hes the only doctor that has fully acknowledged and treats my nerve damage and referral pain with my incredibly painful fascia. Other doctors dont listen to my whole health picture so Dr. Fan is a breath of fresh air! Also, other acupuncturists Ive seen only treat the superficial layer so it doesnt help with Dr. Fan, he treats my pain at the source.
Dr. Fan also helped treat my chronic diarrhea no other doctor has been able to help me and Ive tried expensive $500 bottle medications to no avail. Dr. Fan formulates the most helpful herbal medication for me and keeps it updated as my symptoms evolve.
The herbal shop is to the left of the clinic so thats also convenient.
Check in is easy peasy and theres plenty of parking too!

I have been a patient at AOMA for over 15 years and I cannot say enough good things! The receptionists are friendly and welcoming, the student interns are well-trained and professional, and the licensed acupuncturists are all brilliant, intuitive, and caring.

Anyone who is familiar with Eastern medicine knows that personalized medicine, which is now practiced in Western medicine began with the Eastern influence. I went to AOMA clinic with a request for Electro Acupuncture that was used in my Physical Therapy treatment plan and was very successful. All I needed was to find a place that would continue the care I got from my physical therapists after I was released from their care.
I was SHOCKED to find that AOMA clinic director had NO intention of trying to treat me as needed. Apparently, personalized medicine ISN"T practiced at this clinic and they are in the cookie cutter mindset.....if "you" don't fit into their structure - they don't want to help you.
I found another practitioner here in Austin that does practice compassion and would NOT turn away a patient that received care that was successful. She also practices personalized medicine to what her clientele needs.... that has worked before.
AOMA should be ashamed of themselves turning away a patient for which they have the skills to carry out such treatment, but instead turned a blind eye. When the energy of a practice turns away people in need......that is NOT good medicine.
