image Jenni is the BEST. I have always been cautious about who I let watch my dog, but when he is with Jenni I never have to worry. He has stayed with her on multiple occasions for several days at a time. She is extremely trustworthy, passionate, knowledgable and truly a dog whisperer. Jenni will take care of your animals as if they were her own and they will come home happier than ever. I have learned a lot from her and would 100% recommend her to anyone!

image Our pups and kitty swear by Peaceful Paws! Jenni and team are simply the best and have thought through everything. The website for booking, communications, daily reports, etc is awesome and keeps all the details in one place. We couldn't be happier to leave our furry family behind in the care of PPPC.

image Peaceful Paws feel likes an extension of our family. They truly treat our dog Jax as if he was their own. Jenni and Ryan are a pleasure to deal with and always reliable. Jax is always excited for his hikes. We count ourselves fortunate to be part of the Peaceful Paws Family.

image I came to work with Jenni after my 5 year old standard poodle girl tested positive for Addisons Disease. Frankie has never been a fan of getting her yearly shots and will turn into a pretzel the moment the vet makes a motion to touch her leg. Now as an Addisons dog she is going to need a shot once a month for the rest of her life. Using force free training techniques Jenni worked with me and Frankie to desensitize her fears during vet visits. I had no idea how much my behavior affected Frankies behavior and I had no idea how many tiny steps we were going to need to work through to get to our end result. It took quite a few months of training but it was worth the hard work. Because of Jennis patience with us, mostly me, and her clear training plan I am pleased to report that Frankie is a star patient and is doing remarkably well with her Addisons treatment.
I highly recommend Jenni and Peaceful Paws Pet Center for all your training needs.

image This review is only based on the puppy training we signed up for. We did not use their other services so I don't wish to shine a negative light on the overall business by any means...
We started puppy training when Annie, our German Shepherd puppy was about 4 months old. Jenni, the trainer, came over for an evaluation and although I wasn't a huge fan of her personality, you could tell she loved animals and that in itself won us over. She told us from the beginning, she would not work with anyone who used "punishment" and/or "violent" training tools with their dogs (aka. e-collars, prong collars, etc.). I said that was fine since I didn't know much about either of them being a first time pet owner and our puppy was barely walking up the street at that point since she was still a baby. We had about two weeks of training and then the pandemic hit so we had to put the lessons on hold. In the meantime Annie was getting bigger and obviously picking up the usual puppy bad behaviors including poor leash manners (which is to be expected). I found a place in RI that wasn't closed entirely due to the pandemic so I signed her up there trying to be proactive. Annie was quite the handful even for the lead trainer that had been training all types of dogs even ones with disabilities since she was 16. She worked with Annie 1:1 for weeks and every night my husband and I would set time aside to do the weekly homework. Positive reinforcement was not working for Annie and I know I am not a professional but I don't believe it works for all animals. Annie has a very short threshold so you can only work with her 5 minutes at a time before she gets frustrated and mouthy. After a long discussion with her trainer we decided that using a prong collar on Annie was the next step since she was now almost 6 months and there was zero progress with her. I was also working from home and it got to the point where I couldn't even walk her anymore because she was almost 35 lbs and pulled like a freight train. It was after 2 incidents that put me face first on the ground when we decided we needed to try something different. The prong collar gave us immediate results, we could finally communicate with her with a light pull on her leash. The collar did not phase her one bit and I was relieved that not only were we communicating but we were finally developing an understanding/relationship with one another.
After Annie graduated, Jenni contacted me to see when we wanted to resume lessons again since Mass was beginning to reopen. I could of easily ignored the message but I sent a very friendly response back letting her know that we had gone in a different direction and that we were using the prong collar now and I RESPECTED her decision not to work with those that used one. I couldn't even believe the response I got.... I honestly had to read it like 5 times before I responded. She told me she felt sorry for my dog and that her clients choose not to cause PAIN, FEAR and PUNISHMENT towards their animals. She continued by telling me it takes dedication but they chose to use methods that create relationships with your dogs.... I was appalled by her response. She had zero idea what my family had gone through over the pandemic and she had the audacity to try and demoralize me.
I honestly have never given anyone, any product, any service, a negative online rating because #1 - I try to give people the benefit of the doubt and #2 - I never want to hurt someone's business based on my poor experience. However, I feel as though my husband and I were not only very disrespected but we were shamed as bad, violent owners. No one deserves to be treated so poorly ESPECIALLY by a "professional" business owner.
