Geoff Houghton is ok as a naturopath but totally unprofessional bordering on irresponsible when it comes to making a referral to a specialist. I made it very clear I was experiencing acute an mental health issue and wanted to be referred to an endocrinologist.. 3 weeks later I am still waiting, multiple emails sent, messages left.. zero response from Dr Houghton to say if the referral has been made, how long it might take, or how about some genuine concern for a patient going through a difficult situation? No.. nothing, zero. Totally unprofessional.

Dr. Houghton's approach to medicine is a breath of fresh air.  I truly appreciate searching for the root cause of a problem rather than masking it with a prescription or other various cures.  He's very knowledgeable and helpful.  If he doesn't know something, he works hard to find the answer or directs you to someone who's more knowledgeable in that particular field.  He's the first Naturopathic doctor I've seen and I've been very impressed with the results.  I've finally had answers to some things I've been struggling with for quite some time.  I highly recommend him.  The only downside of it is that it seems most insurances don't cover his services as they are considered alternative medicine...but I'll save my rant on that for another time.
