We come to Asheboro every year to go to the zoo and get out of town. We were disappointed with our stay last time at a neighboring hotel because the pool was cold and kinda dingy,my little girl looks forward to swimming after the zoo. So we sprung for this more expensive stay because I called and they told me the pool is heated. It perhaps has a heater but it is not turned on to a level that makes it comfortable to swim. Needless to say my whole family was very disappointed. Next time I'll just take my chances at the cheaper place.

This place is absolutely Horrid we called and ask about the pool and hot tub and were told they were open and the pool was also heated , upon checking in the hot tub is drained and nasty the pool area is nasty and the pool is ICE cold not heated, the king room we were put in was extremely small and cramped! We certainly would not have booked this overpriced hotel if wed have known the amenities promised were all a lie!! TRAVELERS BEWARE!!!!

Becca, we're saddened to read about your less than satisfactory experience. It's really disheartening to hear that the pool and hot tub conditions, as well as the room size, were not as anticipated. Unfortunately, at times we have to close the pool for safety reasons. This does take time to correct. This past week we did have someone who had gotten sick in the pool. We had to close the pool, drain it and refill with fresh water and make sure all of the chemicals were all within safe levels for use. When this happens, it does take time to heat the pool to the optimal temperature. We do apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused to you and your family. The safety of our guests is of utmost importance to us here at the Fairfield Inn Asheboro. We do hope that you may give us another opportunity to provide you with an exceptional experience.

Had to switch rooms after my first night, then put sheets on my own bed after it was not done by housekeeping. On the third day before, I checked out early and moved hotels, the water was shut off in the hotel. I get it, leaks happen. But the staff did not notify anyone. Had I known there was no water and hence no shower, I would not have worked out before I had to go to work. I told the front desk they should have slipped notes under the doors and at least offered a bottle of water so we could brush our teeth! She said they had some in the shop and asked why I was checking out early. Hotel is old and worn. Rooms are small. Staff is lacking. There is a brand new Holiday Inn Express in the same parking lot. Stay there. It is great.
