      Raleigh A. Smith, MD, FACS, is a board-certified general surgeon serving men, women, and children at his self-titled clinic in Aransas Pass, Texas. From comprehensive medical care to urgent care, surgical care, and medical aesthetics, Dr. Smith provides a wide range of services to help patients with many conditions, illnesses, and injuries. With a whole-person approach to health care, Dr. Smith is emphatic about individualized care, and he strives to know all of his patients personally. He operates with the knowledge that every problem has a root cause, and he works diligently to diagnose underlying issues and develop a custom plan for treatment. After receiving his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, Dr. Smith continued his education with an internship and residency at St. Paul Hospital in Dallas, and a second residency at West Virginia University in Charleston, West Virginia. The clinic welcomes new patients for primary care, urgent care, general surgery and aesthetic treatments.       image My wife and I came down here October 1st and are looking for property for a permanent address. We both ended up with a intestinal bacteria from under cooked meat or seafood. I called explaining our issue and have the best insurance. Turns out they told me we don't take "winter Texans". As explained we are not leaving, we are staying and looking for property. We ended up finding a new Primary care physician who was more than happy to take us. This Dr.Smith is worthless. We were both diagnosed with CDIF which is very dangerous. Dr. Smith is absolutely worthless and has no concern for humanity.

      image Appt was set for 930 am and here it is 11am still waiting to get in. This is the slowest Dr's office we have ever been too. What is the point of making an appt if they cannot get to you in a timely manner. A truly horrible setup ran by poor office staff. Dr.Smith is a good doctor but the office is ran poorly and very very dirty. We won't be coming back and would encourage others to seek a diff doctor
