It is a shame that management allows dj Donnie G and bands to play their music so loud that a person can't even hear their own television without cranking the volume up twice the normal volume one would normally listen to it at! Not having several amenities available during the winter was very poor planning, and the golf carts and vehicles drive to much to fast. With the several motorcycles revving their engines late at night inside the park, this is the noisiest park we have ever stayed at - WILL NOT RETURN!

We spent Dec-Feb, 2023-2024 at Rock Shadows. We were very disappointed to find that the clubhouse was under a complete remodel and we were unable to use it during our entire 3 month stay. Why couldn't this work been done during off season?? They have 2 laundry rooms. One was locked about half the time we were there because of a gas leak. The activities were a mess because of the clubhouse construction. In looking at activities, part of them were listed in a TBD location with no contact info or any follow-up as to where activity would be held. Tried to play bingo once; however, when we arrived at the tent, no bingo was happening and there was no broadcast message about cancelation. The entry gate was completely inconsistent. There was no rhyme or reason as to when the gatehouse would be manned or not. They would close off the right hand lane and then no one would be in the gatehouse. What purpose did this serve? Last, this was our 1st (and last) time at Rock Shadows. Our site backed up to Idaho Road and traffic noise was horrendous from 6AM to 11 PM everyday. I was told at the time of reservation that traffic on Idaho Rd was not bad. That was a lie. Early January, I counted 15 open spaces in the interior of the park so why did we get put on Idaho Road?? The sites were still empty the day we left. We paid full price to have zero use of the clubhouse and numerous cancelations because it was too cold for activities in a plastic tent. There are better places to stay in AJ!
