I have been battling my weight ever since going through menopause. It has been a struggle that always defeated me. As a result, I started having numerous problems with my digestive system and was on several expensive medications. I also developed severe plantar fasciitis in both feet. I felt miserable. My feet hurt all the time and I limped when I walked. I was told by my doctor that weight loss would definitely help with my problems.
I finally decided it was time to do something and called Medi-Weightloss. The first time I visited the clinic I was very apprehensive but was immediately put at ease by the staff. They gave me the encouragement and support I needed each time I came in for my weekly visits, and helped me stay on track as my weight loss journey unfolded.
Each week as the weight came off, I felt better and better. My energy level increased and my health issues began to disappear. I have been able to completely stop all of the medication I was taking and I haven’t had any problems with my plantar fasciitis in almost 8 months.
I have started running and finished several 5K races this summer. A year ago as I volunteered for a local race, I never imagined I would be able to run the race. Crossing that finish line helped me realize how far I have come. The feeling of accomplishment was overwhelming! My husband and several of my close family and friends are runners and it’s awesome to be outside running with them instead of sitting at home on the couch.
During my time on the program, I lost a total of 65 pounds. Now that I am in the Maintenance Program, looking back, losing the weight was not nearly as difficult as I anticipated it to be. My family and friends are proud of what I’ve accomplished. I feel wonderful and am enjoying eating healthy. I not only lost the weight but Medi-Weightloss helped me totally change my lifestyle and eating habits.
