image The office and building look VERY outdated. My husband needed 2 wisdom teeth taken out according to an oral surgeon but Caring Dental refused to write him a script for that. The oral surgeon THEY were insistent we go to had a 3 month waiting list. The staff at Caring Dental were extremely unhelpful and wouldn't answer phone calls from oral surgeon. What a waste of time. Save yourselves time, and find another dentist office!

image I recently went here as a new patient to get my teeth cleaned and checked. For starters, I was very disappointed that Dr. Wang was not able to communicate properly with me. Her cleaning skills were horrible. I left with my teeth not properly cleaned; I still had brown spots between my teeth and when I asked her for the reason a week later she was trying to convince me that the reason is my coffee is too strong and I drink too much coffee ... seriously.Furthermore, during my cleaning, Dr. Wang told me I had a cavity that needed to fix. She said it was big but wasn't close to the nerve, so should be an easy fix. I have had cavities fixed before, so even with my doubts, I felt that any well-trained dentist could do this properly. However, she did an absolutely horrible job. She drilled way too close to my nerve and she didn't even warn me before I leave the clinic that it might be painful because it is close to the nerve or what to do if I felt some pain, I ended up with a huge throbbing pain in my tooth for over a week after the procedure (especially when I would drink (hot/cold) drinks). When I called her the day after to ask her if this pain was normal, she then informed that I may need a root canal, but that she is not trained to do this. Dr. Wang didn't even help me manage this pain so I ended up having to buy my own Ibuprofen. I think it is totally unprofessional to start a procedure that you are unqualified to do (if she knew I needed a root canal, why did she try doing a simple cavity filling?!?!) She also was defensive when I asked her why she didn't warn me that the filling is close to the nerve and her response was I already told you the first week why do I have to tell you again. I think any professional dentist should be understanding of their patient's concerns, and explain things so the patient feels comfortable. When I visited a subsequent dentist to fix the mess Dr. Wang made, the new dentist told me the filling she did wasn't even done properly, and as a result my tooth was catching even more food in between as the filling wasn't smoothed properly. Furthermore, I found out that gum is redish and I needed a deep cleaning, called scaling, that she never mentioned or didn't realize I needed.I will NEVER go to Dr. Wang again, and suggest everyone to not go there.

image When I was a student with negative income, I went to UM Dental School -- which is okay . . . for a student with negative income.  Oh boy, was I excited when I had dental insurance for the first time in my life!  And oh boy, was I lucky to find Dr. Wang at Caring Dental!  She's now been my dentist for years.Dr. Wang and her husband will take care of your teeth and gum needs efficiently. They are professional.  They have THE BEST hours (open Saturdays and Sundays and have late hours a couple days of the week also).  I had braces, and she provided feedback on how my teeth were progressing; I went and talked to my orthodontist about Dr. Wang's opinion, and my orthodontist adjusted my teeth further based on that. One time, she even gave me vegetables from her home garden!  That's pretty awesome.
