image We applied for a home that we thought had good bones and would be good for us but it needed some work. First of all there was a massive water leak and MOLD in the garage, the front entrance way leading up to the door was caked in about 6 inches of mud and lots of other issues. We applied and we were accepted asked to come in and speak to someone about the issues we had with the home. We went in and for some reason there was some major confusion and no preparation for our arrival. The lady sat down with us without a computer to even pull up the home we referring to that we were interested in renting and was very rude. Whats wrong with the house . My realtor said well we can start with the major water leak and mold as well as the mud and horrible landscaping keep in mind there was ZERO grass it was just dried up dirt which I have no idea how the HOA has not fined them because it looks terrible.
She all of a sudden when she realized how big of a deal that was then decided to go get her computer and look into it after showing no interest in helping answer our questions and made it seem like we were being ridiculous. She comes back, pulls up the listing on the home and then asks to see the pictures and immediately says oh my gosh this needs to be taken off the market immediately. So now the house is no longer available and we were refused a refund on the $150 we spent on the application fees for a house which was also referred to as unsafe. For a property management company to be so negligent and absolutely clueless how bad of shape that house was in and also be so unwilling to negotiate and try to fix the issues is crazy. That house has been sitting vacant since November and its mid March and they do not have a tenant in a booming rental market. Theyre probably wondering why its been listed for as long as it has with no leads. News flash- house is a disaster and you clearly have no idea how to manage and maintain a property. If I was the owner of that house paying for these people to manage and run my property I would sue them for negligence and lost income because lets be honest who would want to live in that. We were willing to move in if all of the issues were addressed and they had no interest. I guess it will be sitting vacant until they do. Good luck
