I Do Not Recommend Pavilion Medical Home Care & Staffing

I went with Pavilion Medical Home Care & Staffing Company on April of 2014 for my mom’s PT and OT and home nursing because I wasn't happy with the previous company that she was with. This company turned out to be the worst company that I picked. I do not believe they should be allowed to continue in this business. Initially, my problem with Pavilion began with the nurse assigned to assist my mother. She did NOT know how to do her job. I had to teach her how to perform her job – simple tasks such as washing her hands prior to taking care of a patient all the way to proper wound care. When I called to complain with the company, their response was that she is the best nurse they have there. After multiple phone calls and complaints, Pavilion finally agreed to replace the incompetent nurse we were initially saddled with. After a couple of PT and OT sessions, I noticed that PT and OT began coming less frequently than they were scheduled. I called Pavilion each time to inquire where my mother’s therapist was, they responded by telling me that they will check into it - but they never called me back. By the time I broke down and called Pavilion back (because I never received a response from them) they told me that the evaluation period had expired and my mother would need another evaluation prior to planning any therapy sessions. This cycle continually repeated until I became frustrated enough to complain to the CEO of the Company. I spoke to Mr. Gibson Erthunmwunse, the CEO of Pavilion and expressed my concerns to him, however he responded by saying “I don’t have time for your problems, call back later”. After taking some time to calm myself down, I called Pavilion back and spoke to a female who refused to provide her name to me. She informed me that she would look into the problem and call me back. At this point, it should be no surprise to anyone reading this review that I never received a follow up phone call from the unnamed female I spoke to. After waiting three days and never hearing back from anyone at Pavilion I decided it was time to begin communication via e-mail, which would be electronically date and time stamped. At the time I am writing this review, over a week has passed and there has been no response at all from Pavilion. I called Pavilion this morning (August 25) and was informed that they are sub-contracting the work to a company who actually performs the physical and occupational therapy. The name of this sub-contracting company is NAS Rehab Services. Pavilion informed me that NAS Rehab informed them (Pavilion) that my mother’s missed therapy appointments were due to the fact that I cancelled the appointments. I called NAS Rehab to ask them about the cancelled appointments. NAS Rehab confirmed that we have never cancelled an appointment, and if Pavilion is telling me that was the reason for the missed appointments, then Pavilion is lying to me. Pavilion did finally call me back as a response to the e-mail I sent. A Pavilion employee told me that it is too bad my mother missed her appointments, however they were done with her and informed me I should never call them back again. Bottom line, think twice before you go with this company. I am giving this company negative 5 stars!!!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY AT ALL. It is unfortunate that the worst review you can give this company is only 1. They deserve a much lower score.
