Amazing, Friendly, Approachable, Organized, Terrific! I can not say enough good things about La Luz!!! My kiddo has been with me for the first 3 years of his life, so I was very worried about sending him to preschool.
La Luz keeps me from feeling guilty. They helped with his transition and were very patient. Drop offs and pick ups are easy now. I know he is getting HEALTHY meals and snacks which takes off the stress of having to pack him lunch. He is learning so much and I love hearing about his day. The teachers are all so loving and I feel content that my kiddo is with them. I highly recommend sending your little ones to La Luz!

Very clean, knowledgeable on child care and education, and long term employee's! I love this daycare because children are valuable to them and not just a number. Ratio for infants is 3.5 to 1. Great investment.

Excellent care! Our son has been going there for about a year and half and we have been extremely happy with the care and management of the center. Joslyn and Ramona have provided kind, compassionate, educational care to our son that has reflected in his behavior at home. Carol and Lisa are excellent managers that always respond quickly to our needs. The center also has it's own chef that makes great food! We really can't say enough good things about this daycare!
The only bad this is the waiting list is really long.............

While there are many options for child care in Albuquerque, La Luz stands well above the other options in Albuquerque. The place is set back from any major roads unlike many care centers. It shares the building with only a credit union so traffic is minimal. One must use a code to get in and out of the school. The classrooms are delightful, bright, and gently stimulating (as opposed to over-stimulating as many centers are or dungeon-like as others). The play areas outside are divided by age and truly age-appropriate.
The teachers genuinely care about my kids-no question there. I can say that I adore their teachers and would have hired them myself. Love them!
The management are on their A-game always. They are approachable in person and super responsive by phone/email. The support staff are great too, always friendly and helpful; they greet my babies by name. The chef (yes, there is a dedicated chef) makes healthy, well-balanced meals daily with fresh ingredients. There is no sopa de cano here. Also, they are nut-free and manage food allergies and intolerances well.
The children learn, yes, learn through play and gentle guidance, even the young toddlers (1 to 2 year olds). My younger son started pushing in his chair at his little table at home. He picks up his laundry and puts it in the basket. He brings me random things found on the floor demanding the name for the things and an explanation for their presence (say pieces of lint or such). He is 16 months old. My older son comes home with an array of experiences to share, especially things he learns in story time. He has an entire repertoire of songs he learned at school and just loves his time there. He is 3.
My kids are flourishing there. Granted, they are absolutely fabulous kids, but La Luz has something to do with their flourishing too! The waitlist is long for a reason. Get on it.
