When I moved to Manzano del Sol, I instantly knew I had joined a community of caring staff and residents. My apartment is specious and well maintained. It has an ample kitchen so I can prepare most of my own meals. I dont know of any other senior living facility in Albuquerque where the cost of meals is optional. I am impressed by the longevity of so many of the staff, which tells me that they feel valued. I have many opportunities to participate in wellness programs to enable me to maintain my health and the activities director plans a menu of varied activities that we can participate in. I feel that I am home.

Vera treated us very well as she guided us through the facility. She was cordial, professional and answered all our questions. We were so impressed we stayed for lunch.

Our mother has lived at Good Samaritan for close to 8 years. Recently, we decided to move her to another facility as she has demonstrated a need for more care; however, we quickly discovered we had made a significant error. The Good Samaritan staff has always been loving, caring & friendly. We are grateful that they were so helpful. Good Samaritan home care has also been helpful with providing more daily care.

My mother decided very recently to move into Independent Living. She knew immediately upon walking into Manzano del Sol that it was the place for her. The residents and the staff were all happy and welcoming. A lovely apartment became available shortly thereafter. Vera Schaeffer did an outstanding job helping our family negotiate an out-of-state move on a very rapid timeline. We spoke on the phone multiple times and always got clear and helpful assistance. Mom has now lived there several weeks and is very happy with her choice. The staff continue to be warm, helpful, and caring. The other residents have made wonderful efforts to welcome my mother to her new home. This has been an excellent experience!

Manzano del Sol has a warm, friendly atmosphere, outstanding optional dining room meal choices, superior transportation for residents, excellent housekeeping and maintenance, and a number of activities including field trips.
