The Mermaids’ Porch Bed & Breakfast

The service is really good and the lady who runs it is quite nice. The breakfast is amazing something new is cooked each day of your stay. It's a beautiful home away from home. It was our first stay at a bed and breakfast and it was neat to try. If you like the privacy of a hotel room then this might not be for you. It felt weird in some ways like I was staying with family. If bed and breakfast is your thing... This place is top notch.

Recently stayed here with my son who was attending a local sports camp. So glad we did this over the area hotels. Dawn provided a very comfortable and restful environment. Loved the cookies in the room each day and her breakfast is delicious. Jack is a great dog. The location and area is really convenient. Great neighbors. Excellent food (from Dawn and the local restaurants.) Easy parking (with a Tesla charger if you need it). Really couldn't ask for anything more from a host for our stay. No doubt we're staying here again if we are back in the area.

I haven't stayed her but my mother in law swears by it and I have been through the house. The decorations are beautiful if you like bed and breakfasts you should check this one out.

I was staying at this lovely B&B only to sleep while staying with my dad at the navel hospital. The host, Dawn, was great. On the first morning I had to leave for the hospital by 4:30 AM and she got up and made coffee and breakfast; she also allowed two of my family members to stop by that morning on the way in to the hospital. Every day she adjusted to my schedule and made sure I ate...and a lot...during this stressful time with no appetite. Dawn is an amazing lady. This is a very nice, cozy, clean and quiet place to stay. With all my travels I never felt so at home as I did at The Mermaids' Porch B&B. If I ever return to Portsmith it will be the only place I stay. And Jack, the house dog, was very therapeutic...I enjoyed sitting with him and petting him to relieve some of my stress.
