They paid claims for a member for 10 months, over 13 visits. Then they asked me to pay them back because they decided the member didn't have those benefits that late in the game. I wasn't given even 30 days to appeal before they took the amount they think I should pay back from claims. No other insurance company has taken back money from finalized claims from last year that we have already paid taxes on. No other professionals except healthcare have to deal with working for the day and then playing games that only the Insurance companies know the rules for in order to get paid, and then have them take it back. What are we supposed to then, bill the member for 13 sessions? Guess who eats that bad blood on our business?
This healthcare provider is voting for any healthcare reform that depowers Insurance companies and makes rules more transparent. I signed up to help people, not spin the wheel of Fortune after I have done the service to see if I get paid or worked for free. I HATE United Healthcare.
