Update: I have since learned that the owner made no profit on my repair when he replaced my screen out of concern that his repair had damaged the operation of my phone for reasons other than those mentioned below. I want to highlight that he DID go above and beyond to do a quality repair at his expense. For that reason I edited the rating originally gave. The issues I had with his repair may well have been issues beyond his control, related to how Apple and other companies manufacture the phones to prevent their being repaired and after market screens. ____ My repairs caused my phone to be worse in two ways than prior to the service, much to my disappointment. I went in for a battery replacement. The battery replacement improved how long my battery lasts. Good so far. HOWEVER following the repair my volume button no longer worked. When I called to report this, the owner argued his repair could not have caused this damage, yet my volume control worked before I took it in. Second, the owner elected to replace my original screen. The after market screen very quickly developed cracks, first near the speaker and quickly spreading across the entire screen. My nearly 10 yr old factory screen only had scratches. This was within a month of the service. Granted this is quite an old phone, so I did not opt to have the owner look at the phone again for fear the phone would be even worse. I would have preferred the owner decline to repair my older model phone rather than risk the complications that accompanied the minor battery replacement. Caveat Emptor
