This review is for Bill Zielke's team since he is SVP of lending, and one of his team members handled our mortgage application. But upon reaching out to Bill after a horrendous experience, all we got from Mr Zielke was "Good Luck with another lender" after having paid $430 for appraisal. Mind you our credit score is 800+ and financials were strong. Just incompetence at BOA made us loose on our application and close to 35 days delay. I short, lookout for local banks and credit unions. They atleast care. For big banks like BOA and Bill Zielke, you are just a number, a stat. Here is a short synopsis of an email I wrote to my client relationship manager at Bank of America. -In the past 5 weeks, I have not once had Robert reach out to us. Every time its been me trying to get the status. -Appraisal was ordered after I reminded him 2 weeks into the process. I never thought we will be denied credit, so didnt make much of it. In the hind site, 2 weeks is plenty to get credit approved if someone was doing their job. -No responses to Emails, phone calls. Every time I have had to go through you to hunt him down so we know where we are at. -Requested copy of appraisal 3 times, so I can send it over to our bank. -Received it yesterday in mail with Mortgage Denial letter. -Never once informed of the status of our application. It sat in credit approval for full 30 days. -On 5/09 we decided to move forward with purchase of new home, but there was no way I was handing over that application to Robert. -After requesting change of application from primary home to investment, the application sat for 10 days without any action. -On 5/18, I left Robert a msg that if he doesnt call me back, I will cancel this application with BoA. -He did call back, requested 2 additional business documents that should have been requested 30 days ago. -Robert had promised to close out refi in 25 days, and match GTEFCU's origination fee as he advised us that he had discretion. Denied both claims during my converation on 5/18. -Never reached out to us to verify if there was any additional info we could provide. -On 5/19 there was the letter sent. To say it was disappointing, is an understatement.
