Edited in July 2021 - received great service from Refresh again, I'd previously had some difficulties with scheduling and appointments being cancelled, but it seems Refresh has made adjustments and I'm happy I gave them another chance. Great people and high-quality service. ------ My regular dentist had reduced operations due to COVID, so I was in search of somewhere to get an overdue cleaning for myself and my family. Refresh was great- they took safety seriously, and yet were still friendly and welcoming. Our hygienist left no plaque un-removed, she was great. Our X-Ray technician took a full array of shots (a few multiple times) until she was satisfied. Our dentist was thorough and helpful, and had great recommendations for us all. I was very impressed, and came away feeling like the folks here were people I could trust, and who I'm almost (it is the dentist after all!) looking forward to seeing again in 6 months. Thank you Refresh for looking after our smiles!

I have the worst anxiety about the dentist and I was shaking in my crocks going but they were absolutely amazing and my anxiety was gone. They are so kind, gentle and make you feel comfortable. I would recommend to anyone.

First do no harm doesn’t apply here. My mouth is in much worse shape then when I went in. My teeth are in good shape, and they have never hurt before. No gum disease and no receding gums. My 2nd molar on top got a chip in it. My dental insurance recently changed so I looked up close dentists who take it. This one came up. Dr. Fries told me it would be a waste of time and money to put in a filling, so I decided to get a crown. While grinding away the tooth, she went too far and even though I was completely numbed up, I had an incredible amount of pain right at the top of the tooth where the root comes up. I told her, and she looked a bit concerned, but continued around the tooth without taking any more from the top. While taking a molding for the new crown, the assistant put some kind of metal clip around the tooth between the 2nd and 1st molars. It was very painful even while being numb and he was really wrenching on it - like it owed him money. A temp crown was put on while the new crown was being made. Over the next few weeks, my tooth was very sensitive to hot and cold temps. Dr. Fries went on early maternity leave so Dr. Mok took over. I told him about the sensitivity and he was concerned about the hot sensitivity. He took X-rays and told me TOO MUCH MATERIAL WAS GROUND AWAY and it was his opinion I should get a root canal. They do not do root canals on the 2nd molar at this location, so they referred me to a specialist. Keep in mind that I went in for a small chip, and now I was being told I would need a root canal. I was not happy about it and told them if I required a root canal then they should have to pay for it due to their mistake. The receptionist told me that someone would be calling me within a day or two. No one called. After a week, I decided that regardless of their recommendation, I would forego the root canal, and get the permanent crown put on. I told the receptionist that no one called and that I wasn’t happy about having to pay full price for a botched crown. She was horrified and told me someone would for sure call me right away. No one called. I also got a mouth guard, and so I went back in a week later to get the molding for the guard. I told her no one called and she again apologized profusely. She said someone would call and that she is making sure of it. No one called. 3 weeks later the guard was in and I came in the pick it up. I told her no one called. When I got home some one finally called. They informed me that a clinical review was done and found that I had a fractured tooth. I never had any issue with this tooth prior to getting a small chip - And I mean very small. She told me that because the X-rays found a fracture that they would have suggested a root canal anyway and there would be no compensation on their behalf. My teeth were X-rayed before grinding for the crown, after grinding the crown, and after I complained of discomfort. No one ever told me my tooth was fractured. Not once. My tooth never hurt before the procedures and I had never had sensitivity. All of this happened after the grinding of the crown. On top of that. My gums on my 2nd and 1st molar are receding. Only on those two teeth. I’ve read this is due to gum trauma from an dental instrument. The root is exposed. I cannot brush my teeth without considerable pin. I told Dr. Mok and he told me keep brushing and it will get less sanitize - and if it doesn’t, they can graft some back. This is a horribly un-professional office and they do not have their patients best interest in mind. They are trying to extract as much money as possible. Stay away.
