We had an extremely negative experience here. Untrustworthy, dishonest staff members did not take responsibility for their mistakes at any given opportunity. Our service providers postured as though they were caring until they got their money, then they made little effort and did not fulfill their commitments in the slightest. We did have a few helpful, considerate caregivers, but they were in the minority, and privately echoed the concerns I have stated here. In summary, I would highly advise looking elsewhere for care you and your loved ones can trust.

Our experience with Oakleaf was honestly heartbreaking. While I understand everyones situations and experiences are different, I would be remiss if I didnt share ours. The senior living advisor promised that my mothers level of care needs could be met in this assisted living facility, including having lifts available to aid with transfers and staff trained to use them. They even evaluated my mother in-person at her rehab facility and assured us that she would be safe at Oakleaf. Long story short, they did not have the necessary equipment to transfer my mother safely and we didnt find this out until she had already moved in and signed the contract. It took our family two weeks to secure the lift ourselves - Oakleaf never took accountability for the misrepresentation - and by that point, it was too late. Most heartbreaking of all, when I came to visit my mother on January 1st after being out of town, I found her gravely ill. After the nurse on duty told me that she just needed to drink more water, I demanded they call the squad and my mother went to the hospital. She was dangerously dehydrated and had a severe UTI which eventually killed her. She never returned to Oakleaf. She was there for 2.5 weeks and it was a miserable 2.5 weeks for my family. Because of their 30 day notice policy, my mother was required to pay a full additional month for care and food that she did not receive, despite the oversights made by this facility and its staff. There were many aids and nurses who were wonderful and even helped care for my moms cat while she was in the hospital. To them, I am grateful. However, the facility as a whole was an epic disappointment.
