I've been to almost every vet in Williamsburg. Small Door by far is the most friendly, human, considerate, and empathetic practice in this neighborhood. I'm glad they're here.

they are the best. my puppy unexpectedly needed surgery and they did everything they can to make it as seamless and comfortable as possible. they checked in and sent updates regularly. I cannot thank their team and dr bris in williamsburg enough. my dog also LOVES it there.

They gave my dog the wrong vaccine!!! Then they tried to tell me it was due to a change in her treatment plan. But then later admitted that the nurse gave my dog the wrong vaccine. She was supposed to get the lepto vaccine combined with DA2PP, but they gave her the vaccine without the lepto. This is the vaccine needed in order to walk your dog in nyc to protect your dog from diseases found in rat pee. I was the most concerned about this vaccine and I even asked before hand and after the fact if we got the vaccine on the day and I was told we did. TWO DAYS LATER the manager called me to tell me we did not. Also this mistake made her not be able to walk outside for an ADDTIONAL 3 WEEKS!!!!! This was not my first trouble with the place. I also had to move an appointment, I called and asked if it was ok for the amount of time in between vaccines. They told me yes no problem, then I went in and we were told it was too soon and we had to come back. Then our next appointment, which I warned before hand I would probably be late, they said no problem, they would accommodate me because of their previous error. I called 2 hours in advanced and asked if I could be up to 15 minutes late and they said no problem. I got there 13 minutes late, my dog had just thrown up on herself, and they refused to take us because we were more then 10 minutes. If they would have told me no when I called, my husband would have taken her and I would have met them there. Instead, they refused to let us see the vet. We then saw the nurse who gave me dog the wrong vaccine. Save the headache and dont go here! Theyre jerks that dont care about the well being of our babies!
