JP Urban helped our move a while ago, but I had to follow up and write a review because they were that good! I couldn't be more impressed with their service. Despite tackling a 1 bedroom move during the sweltering heat of August 2023, the team at JP Urban demonstrated unparalleled professionalism and determination. From the moment they arrived, it was clear that they were seasoned experts in their field. They worked tirelessly and efficiently, managing to complete the entire move from 8 am (punctually) to 4 pm without a hitch. Their ability to handle everything from disassembling and reassembling furniture to maneuvering bulky items like our oddly shaped workout station was truly impressive. What truly sets JP Urban apart, however, is their exceptional level of customer service. They took the time to follow up afterward, addressing any minor concerns we had with grace and efficiency. Thanks to JP Urban, what could have been a stressful and daunting task became a seamless experience. I can confidently say that I will never consider moving without the assistance of movers again, and JP Urban will be my go-to choice for any future moves. Highly recommended!

Absolutely blown away by the level of customer service from JP Urban. Front to back moving and follow-up/follow through. A few dishes broke (likely due to my poor packing) and they reimbursed me fully (not the measly 20 cents on the dollar that some other moving companies do). These guys are the best. Careful, caring, thorough, professional. They act as if you are the only moving job they have. Use them. Now.

JP Urban Moving Company was the definition of a 5-star moving experience! Cost: The quote you receive is based on an 8 hour move (for us, it included 5 movers for a 2 bedroom 2 bath move to an equivalent sized space). There's a minimum cost of 2 hours and then after that you only pay for the length of time it takes for your move. While first instinct is that hourly movers will be slow and use up the full time (or more), that is absolutely not the case with JP Urban. Our move was completed in 6.5 hours and that's what our balance due was based on - lower than our original quote! NOTE: You do pay for supplies used like tape, cardboard boxes to pack delicate items, etc., which might be a surprise if you're used to flat rate movers where everything is included. For us, it was worth it based on the service received, especially considering our final move ended up less than quoted. Service: Every mover involved in our move was thoughtful and careful with our belongings giving peace of mind things wouldn't arrive to our new apartment damaged. They also did this at lightning speed (see above - 6.5 hours to complete vs. estimated 8 hours) and with kindness. Each person was friendly and communicative throughout the process. I cannot recommend Miguel's team more!! And also, Chris (the dispatcher) was on top of the move starting the day before with a text confirming details for the following day. He also texted in the morning with an update on the mover's ETA and even halfway through the move to ensure all was going well. This type of service is unheard of from most other NYC moving companies. Reviews are always hit and miss - hard to trust when companies pay for positive ones and find ways to remove negative ones. But I can tell you with 100% authenticity that this is the best moving company in NYC. Prices are really great and service is unmatched.

The team from JP did a tremendous job, both times I've hired them. The guys are very professional, friendly, and efficient. They thoroughly wrapped everything and unwrapped and assembled it all at the destination. And they ended up charging me for significantly less than the quote because they completed the job faster than they'd estimated.
