Back in Nov. 2023 I had 2 teeth filled. The upper tooth went fine, but the lower molar hurt when he started drilling so he gave me another shot and then finished drilling and even then it was very uncomfortable. I called the dentist office that Friday because I was having pain, I was told my dentist was not in and so I would have to leave work to come there so I could be checked before I could get anything for the pain! That made me mad because I cant just leave work whenever. So I suffered through and from there learned to live with it.(I dont chew on that side of my mouth) I would have thought someone from that office would have called on Monday to see how I was doing, NOT! 6 months later I get a text and an email wanting me to either confirm or request a phone call on my next cleaning. I requested a call and of course didnt get one. A few days later I get another message wanting to know the same thing. This time I called. I told the person on the other end I would never let there office do any work on my teeth again! I was asked if I would like to have an appointment with Dr Moore to talk about my experience, thinking he might be interested I said yes, I would. So when I went to see him he looked and said I cant tell anything by just looking so they took an x-ray of my tooth at no charge as I told them I will not pay for anything. He came back in and looked and showed me the picture stating that he sees no problem because the nerves are way down here and the filling is up here. We had a couple heated words and he asked me why it took 6 months for me to come back? Well I will explain, if you didnt send me an appointment notice ( after I told the person 6 months earlier, I would not ever come back) I wouldnt have bothered you but I got the notice. I discovered while I was setting in the chair and hearing the tools making sound in other rooms that I was quite anxious like I could feel that drill in my mouth. I dont want that sharp poking tool in there on my teeth and the phrase you used we dont make cavities, we fix them that may be so but this time you made it much much worse than the cavity!! If the nerve is clear down there and I shouldnt be feeling any pain, why do you numb the area before you drill?? Maybe there still could be pain? I think you should take some classes on professionalism and compassion and not worry so much about your liabilities that maybe just maybe someone at your office screwed up. I am going to work on getting myself prepared mentally just for teeth cleaning at my new dentist . Like I told you , because its not your tooth you dont care.

Another great visit at the dentist! I used to be TERRIFIED to go to the dentist because past experiences at other places were anything but good, but every time I've been to Aegis, my experience has been nothing but great. Everyone is so kind and welcoming. Even the first time I came as a walk-in due to extreme pain from a cracked crown, I was treated so kindly and not like an inconvenience. That's what has kept me coming back and recommending them to everyone I know who needs a dentist in the area. Also, one of the most comfortable waiting areas I've ever been in.
