Got a call said my car was done so I went to get it. Upon arrival I found the A/C was not working and there was a huge paint run on the fender so I left the car to get this fixed. Next day I go pick up the car because they said it was ready and as I was driving down the road it was not shifting right and had a big loss of power so I took it back to them. They took it to a local dealership as well as looked at it themselves and couldnt figure out the issue. I then took the car home because they said the insurance company said to give the car back because it has to be part of the accident. I then took the car to a dealership and they found my transmission fluid was low by 2 quarts because when gerbers replaced the a/c condenser they never replaced the transmission fluid that was lost when they changed the transmission cooler. The dealership replaced the transmission due to the clutches being damaged because of the low transmission fluid. After the shifting issue was fixed with a new transmission I was still having the power issue and as the dealership looked further they found a microfiber rag stuffed into the air intake. The manager Sean was very professional, helpful and a very great guy. Gerbers did pick up the tab for a rental while my car was at the dealership which was very appreciated by me. I hate to say would never take another vehicle back due to all the mishaps and the lack of quality they have in their workmanship but Sean definitely made it better as he was very attentive and willing to help but he was out of options. I wouldnt recommend this place until they can get a double check system in place to stop mishaps from happening. My RO# is 14075

Just no. Never again. Shops job is to send car out better than went in. Sent it out malfunctioning brakes. Update: finally getting car finished. Would've been great if when they were sent to voicemail they left one instead of immediately calling me back whilst at work.

Excellent customer service from the front office to the repair department. Nancy was warm, welcoming and knowledgeable. Ken was awesome, answered all my questions, got my car in quickly and I got it back sooner than expected! Fast, efficient, quality work. Thank you all at Gerber for making a bad experience, great! Our car was damaged on July 2, 2022. It was taken to Gerber collision in Valparaiso Indiana and after quite some time it was taken to do another Gerber in Laporte Indiana. It is still there and we have no idea what is going on. The only numbers we have for Gerber is a toll-free number and have tried to call there but you can't talk to anyone. I finally left a message when it sent me to voicemail. No one ever called me back. We have been without a car for over two months.

9/10 experience Even though there was a waitlist Gerber did fantastic making sure I knew what was happening during each step of the process. Each time I called the employees were very professional and took the time to answer all my questions. They got my vehicle in as quickly as possible. When I got my car back and I was inspecting it I had to pull up photos of the damage because it was repaired so well that I had no idea where the previous damage ended. The only reason I rated them a 9 instead of a 10 is it would have been great if they offered a loaner vehicle in cases where the insurance coverage on a rental ends. I understand that there are many aspect that go into offering that but I do know some other repair centers that do offer this service. I will absolutely recommend Gerber Collision to others and will choose them again if the need ever arises again. Services: Tires, Painting, Body & Trim
