My daughter broke her ankle and we were told by the ER to use the walk in clinic. The clinic is open 9-3:30 per their website for walk ins. After the first appointment, we tried making appointments but it is impossible to get someone on the phone through the call in number. So walk-in appeared to be the best option. We walked in for appointments three different times. Once, we were close to 3:30, because we didnt want to miss school. We were seen, but the front desk was less than helpful getting us in. The encourage walk ins on their website, but they do not want them. On the last walk in, we were forced to wait 2 hours to see a doctor. The visit was due to pain, and it was an emergency. They wanted to schedule us for 2 days after. Our options were wait the two hours or go to the ER. We waited. I do not recommend, nor would I return to the ortho in Carmel. We are a diverse family, and shockingly during our 2 hour wait, it became clear that the blonde front desk receptionist had no problem assisting other families. We were never greeted warmly. We watched as 10-12 patients (children) and their families were treated with kindness, asked for their names (we werent asked until after we were told we couldnt be seen for 2 hours!), and helped with their questions and concerns. We were a burden to Riley Pediatric Ortho and we wont be returning.
