        I had a very good experience with Dr. McDonald performing my tonsillectomy at IU West. My experience with Dr. McDonald consisted of one consult appointment, the tonsillectomy surgery and one follow up appointment. The consult appointment allowed me to get all of my tonsillectomy questions answered and allowed me to figure out what kind of doctor Dr. McDonald is. After my consult, I could tell Dr.McDonald is very confident/comfortable in what he does. He answers all your question and doesnt over explain. Hes not too social but more straight to the point driven. I LIKE THAT. The surgery was very quick and he did a great job removing my tonsils. Before I knew it, I was in the post-op recovery room. I didnt have any immediate pain after the surgery as if he was too rough. Nor did I have any other obvious concerns directly after surgery. As Dr. McDonald mentioned, the majority of the tonsillectomy process comes from the recovery. Lastly, I had the follow up appointment about a month after the surgery. It lasted all of two minutes since he walked in the room. I LIKE THAT ASWELL. Overall, Dr. McDonald did his part and did it extremely well. Id recommend him for anyone that likes a streamlined tonsillectomy process. Final note, I dont know if I got lucky or not. Both times I had an appointment, I didnt have to wait very long at all to be escorted to a room and for him to come in. I mean I was face to face with him before I could even finish the paperwork I was handed during my consult. So that was a huge plus as well in my opinion. P.S. special thanks to the IU West pre-op and post-op nurses. They were knowledgeable and really helpful. They deserve to be recognized as well.

        Dr. McDonald is both friendly and quick to see Patients when he is aware. Unfortunately there is a central calling system that does not get him the messages in a timely fashion and May say they spoke with a patient when they did not..
