I MUST take a moment to sing the praises of the staff at VCA. From the excellent doctors, to the hard-working vet techs, to the gracious and knowledgeable folks at the front desk (hi MJ and Gary!), VCA has been really wonderful. Just taking a moment to give credit where credit is due. Thank you.

I do like this place. I have to say that the staff here is beyond amazing. They truly are amazing. I don't think I've ever had any bad experience with them, and that's the thing, right? They may have different staff throughout time, but the staff has always been amazing. Cristina Moreno, Gary West, and some others are people who I've seen throughout the years who have been nothing but perfect in my opinion. The place is very clean and very aesthetically pleasing. If I had all the money in the world, I'd likely come here all the time. Unfortunately, I don't. This place, unfortunately, has several policies in place that pretty much forces you to have to pay for additional services and they are non-negotiable, which sometimes puts you and the staff at an awkward position. When comparing the prices for some of the other places I go to, VCA tends to upcharge their services ranging between 1.5x-2x the price of other places, and many times even more, and many times I even get a better service in other places. This then becomes a bit like buying Apple products or another big brand; you end up paying more for the brand, aesthetics, and not necessarily the service itself. I mean, the service is good, don't get me wrong, but not worth 2.3x the price of what I'd get elsewhere. Additionally, I came in thinking that, since VCA is a big organization, I could use the services in any VCA location, and they'd have a networked platform allowing their clients to switch easily. But each VCA does function as an independent organization. For example, if you get a pet insurance here, you will not be able to use it at any other VCA. VCA is a big name, and their aesthetics back that up. If you do have loads of money that you are able throw around, and don't mind paying extra for aesthetics and brand, I absolutely highly recommend this place. Again, every single person in the staff is pretty close to perfect, the environment is aesthetically pleasing, and they are super welcoming and flexible. Additionally, they are pretty honest about pricing. They will always show you the whole list of services that you'll have to pay for (whether you agreed or not over the phone) with you prior to you accepting anything. However, if you don't, maybe this place might not be the right fit for you. EDIT: Sorry, yeah, no. Changing it to 1 star. Once again they put in another hidden fee. The staff gave a vaccine, said that the booster was already included, and when I came back, they changed their terms and asked me to pay for the booster doubling the price.
