I rarely write reviews, but if I could, I would give this place a zero-star rating because I have never felt more scammed. Everyone is nice here, I will give them credit for that, but I believe this place operates as a scam. Their primary focus seems to be extracting as much money from you as possible. I relocated to SF from Texas a year and a half ago and needed to find a new dentist. Unfortunately, I didn't conduct enough due diligence and ended up choosing this place for dental cleaning. I was informed that I had 7 cavities that needed to be filled ASAP. Even though I wondered why my last dentist hadn't identified this issue, and it had only been a couple of months since my last check-up, I still chose to trust the dentist at this place and proceeded with the fillings. However, this decision marked the beginning of my nightmare. They botched one of my back teeth, and I had to return 7/8 times to fix the issue. Unfortunately the issue was never resolved, and my back teeth still hurts to this day. During this process, I was also strongly encouraged to get Invisalign for biting issues - for a cost of about $7000. This raised my skepticism because my dentist in Texas had never mentioned such an issue before. I visited an Invisalign clinic for second opinion, which I was told that Invisalign was not necessary in my case. Since I already had a dental cleaning scheduled for next time, I decided to give it another try. However, this time they told me policy has changed and wanted to charge me $500 for the basic dental cleaning upfront, claiming that I would receive reimbursement from my insurance later. This was not communicated before I came in to the clinic, and was definitely unheard of. I found it difficult to trust them anymore, and I doubt I will ever receive that reimbursement. I see it as another tactic to scam patients. I told them I dont feel comfortable about this non-communicated policy changed and I am switching dentists and left. Later, they texted me offering to transfer my records to my new provider, but I learned from other Google reviews that they also charge a fee for record transfer, which is illegal in California. Beware, this place also operates under the name "Bliss Dental SF," and it is undoubtedly a scam. I no longer trust their professional recommendations as everything seems to be profit-driven.

They are friendly and decent but they will try their best to get as much money as they can. I was told that I would need filling for 6 teeth and was told crazy amount. I was skeptical so I decided to go to another place my friend recommended. I asked them to send me all the xrays we took. They charged me $50 for sending those xrays. AND they only sent some pieces of xrays which were super blurry. I went to another place I was told based on the receipt I should have 2 more different types of xrays and they were also surprised that I was recommended for 6 fillings. I dont even know if i was charged extra for the other 2 types of xrays too because in the email they said they included everything.

Quality of care and treatment is good - everyone is knowledgable and nice to work with; however, the office is run in a way that takes away from this. Appointments take a long time and the team recommends non-essential services at a very high cost during each visit. The office continued to mix up my phone and my partners, so I would receive calls regarding his appointments and reaching out to schedule. They list the practice as in-network for certain insurances on Zocdoc, but they cannot bill them directly and it comes at out-of-pocket costs. This was the final thing that caused me to switch providers - for which they will then charge you a fee to send you their records. Go here for good care but bad service

Recently got a crown implanted with Dr Patel and the experience was brilliant. I am terrified of the dentist and was not looking forward to the procedure at all. Dr Patel was gentle and kind. She constantly checked in with me throughout the procedure. There was never a moment when it felt rushed.

Everyone is very polite and helpful. I liked Marguerite very much. Hopefully if I take her advice, I wont have any cavities next month.
