Run away from these scam artists. They were going to charge me $2k for 3 fillings that werent even crowns, told me my entire bottom teeth were developing reversible cavities. They pushed a payment plan on me and basically gave a rundown of how awful my teeth were with a salesmen pitch. I went to another office and was quoted $160 after insurance for half the work discussed. THEY were even surprised by how bad this office was trying to run me. They have now contacted me two separate times since this review. Seriously, leave me the hell alone.

Under the direction of the office manager, Emily, it took months to receive a replacement dental device. After I repeatedly asked for a refund I was told that a refund was not an option. After I threatened legal action, Emily offered a refund that was conditional on my execution of a Refund Release. I POSTED A FULL COPY OF THIS DOCUMENT ON YELP. This Release contained cut and pasted terms from multiple documents and an explicit restriction on the disclosure of my issue on social media. One has to wonder: Is requiring execution of this document for a mere refund a tactic to keep online reviews artificially positive and patients silent? Consider review sources that cannot be altered by the business or scrubbed such as Yelp, or linked by the business to their Facebook account.

I was looking for a new dentist and found Bleu Dentistry nearby and with good reviews. However, as a new patient I found that I did not have a good experience. Looking on website they have advertised a new patient special for $159 including X-rays,exam and cleaning. Be aware though that the special only applies to those without insurance. For a new patient appointment I was charged $360 before insurance for the exam and x-rays only. Then after my insurance covered 80% I was left to pay $156 out of pocket. My next issue is with the pricing structure. When setting up the appointment I believed that it would be for cleaning, xrays and exam. Guess my first warning sign should have been when I was told that usually the first appointment is just establishing a treatment plan and did not include a cleaning. Upon having a exam completed I was my teeth were not bad but due to some light build up on a permeant retainer that I required a higher level mid-tier cleaning. The cost of that $411 and insurance did not cover it as a regular cleaning. So my out of pocket cost was $303 for just a cleaning. Totaling $459 out of pocket for a cleaning and new patient exam after insurance. Seems like a money grab and poor business practice to me. Usually a cleaning is a cleaning at every other dentist unless it is a extreme case which clearly mine was not. Office staff was very accommodating and with me when I told them I had somewhere I had to be but other than that also very slow experience. Think some of this may come from the fact that this office does not seem to have a dental hygienist doing the cleaning like usual but the doctor doing the cleanings himself. It was also not communicated that this dentist was out of network and that is reason they only covered 80%. Was led to believe that it was just my insurance policy that did not fully cover it.

As a business owner myself, Ive never found myself in a position where Ive had enough issues somewhere to write a bad review. I want to start by saying I prepaid over $8,000 to this office for work to be done over the course of a year, that Ive later found out via another dentist was not necessary and easily fixed at home with simply flossing more often and would resolve itself with orthodontic treatment. 1. Lack of timeliness is an issue here. Ive never been seen on time an often 30-45 minutes after my appointment time, only to wait for additional time sitting in the chair before being seen. I run a company and blocking off half of my day for a dentist appointment and a huge variable in that time is simply not feasible. Ive seen other dentists without this issue and being seen promptly on time. 2. I specifically asked for Invisalign by name when calling for quotes and requesting service. Unbeknownst to me, I signed up for $5,000+ in orthodontist work thinking Id be getting Invisalign. Instead, I received house made aligners and when I called to ask about this per my husbands request - they said that all of my paperwork says clear aligners NOT Invisalign. Im not in the dental field, so when I requested a specific product I couldnt imagine that I would be slyly tricked into a different product I did not request. 3. The clear aligners I was given had issues from day one. The first set cracked in three places within a week. I called the office and they suggested they broke due to poor maintenance. Suggesting I should not eat with them and going through the rules for care. I was following all of the rules for care to a T. I was informed they would print a new set for me but in the future it would be $100 per tray. I brushed it off as a fluke, but every tray I received broke. The dentist later came to the conclusion that it was due to the pressure and force from my teeth causing the trays to crack. I mentioned that my husband never had this issue with his Invisalign and that the tray quality was noticeable. They insisted the quality wasnt the issue. I went back to step one to have my teeth refitted for aligners as they continued to break and there was a flow turn around from the office and the aligners I received did not fit in my mouth, so I discontinued treatment hoping to start fresh in the new year and have less issues. 3. When I requested to move to Invisalign from their house made product (that I did not request) I was informed it would be an additional $1700 as that product was more expensive. This would put me at $6700 out of pocket for treatment. Ive been quoted between $3995 and $4200 elsewhere for Invisalign (my initial request) so it feels gross a silly that Id be paying more. the experience overall really sucks and I am now in a place where Ive paid for dental treatment I havent received and product that was of poor quality. Its been almost a year and Im still in the same place, but now without the funds that Id set aside for treatment. The dentist does however have a great bedside manner and personality. Maybe the issues are truly with the office manager and staff, but regardless Id hope to come to a resolution.
