Holiday Inn Express & Suites Dayton North - Vandalia, an IHG Hotel

Absolutely FREEZING pool, like completely unbearable!!! We booked an extra night just to have the kids be able to play in the pool and its unusable!! And when brought up to staff, we were just met with shortness and annoyance, only response was its heated clearly not Wish us luck with some very upset kiddos..

Perfect halfway spot while traveling south. Beds comfortable, breakfast was tasty, and the staff was very friendly.

We had an amazing stay- the room was nice an clean- the breakfast was 10/10 & they let us in the pool an he early thank you Holiday Inn for an amazing experience an stay we will be back Walkability: Everything is so close that you could walk if the weather permits Food & drinks: The food was grrrrrreat

The staff was friendly but seemed to be short staffed. Had to wait on two separate occasions. Hotel was clean and the parking lot was well marked and clean. Breakfast was the normal food and fresh. The waffle/pancake machine was not in service even though it looked fairly new. The hotel was located near a dozen or so restaurants which provided lots of variety. Rooms: The room was clean with more storage then other hotels. The water pressure was good and plenty of hot water. The room I was in only had a shower so if you want a tub make sure you ask. It was also pretty quiet. It seemed like you didn't hear as much noise in the hallway or doors opening and shutting like you do in other hotels. The bed was comfortable. It wasn't super firm or super soft. It was in the mid range. Food & drinks: The hotel is within a half mile of a dozen or so restaurants. There's also a Sam's club next door if decide to buy groceries. Lots of choices to choose.
