    Cozy basic rooms (no complaints exactly as expected) A 15 min walk to the light rail in uptown (could be closer in but the price is lower by an appropriate amount if you are able to take such a walk, worth saving the money) No issue with the service just for the very few things i needed front desk seemed very busy we will assume bad luck on my part. The hotel bar seemed out of place from the rest of Charlotte, think more slow paced sothern diner. However with food until 10 and drinks until 11 a good place to catch up with your fellow travelers and some food/drink if you arrived late and didnt want to trek to the 24h diner in town. Overall a good experience and ID go again if i needed a room in town.

    This place is not somewhere I would ever want to stay again. They charge for parking even though you pay for a room. When we arrived , they assigned us our key card and the room was already occupied. We found out by walking in and seeing someones items in the room. We quickly shut the door and went back downstairs. The person didnt seem to really care that they assigned us an occupied room. Finally we get our room, everything is fine for now. Later, our toilet overflowed into the bathroom and the front desk seemed like it was a nuisance that we asked for a plunger and brought it back to them.The gym downstairs is extremely hot so you will definitely get your sweat on down there. The elevator is extremely slow and only one works at a time. We tried eating at the restaurant but the food was absolutely horrible and extremely salty. The few good things about this place is, it smells clean when you walk in, and its within walking distance to a lot of places. Overall, I would definitely not recommend staying here and I wish I didnt spend $450 on a room for the weekend. Safety: They assigned us a key to someone elses room and it let us in. We were paranoid the whole time that someone would get assigned a key to our room Walkability: This hotel is in walking distance of a lot of places. Food & drinks: This hotel has horrible food and service. Noteworthy details: I would never stay here again and wish I didnt waste my money on this place.

    This place was a rundown rendition of any Marriott I have ever been to. On the up side, it is located in a very nice area with local food and shopping. The night staff was attentive and fully refunded our reservation without penalty after our horrible arrival experience. We reserved 2 rooms; the 1st room the refrigerator was broken, the toilet was broken and the room wreaked of marijuana odors in the upholstery. Room 2, was cleaner smelling but had pubic hair and unclean bathroom. The entry hallway smelled like marijuana, as well the parking lot. You could tell it was a complacent and frequent occurrence. Also the rooms had smoke detectors disabled. Surely the Fire Marshall didn't know this. After arriving to a neighboring hotel we informed that it wasn't even a Marriott property. I will never reserve here again, it felt like a homeless camp! Rooms: See above, horrible experience Noteworthy details: Dirty and rundown
