Legacy 521 Apartments

Firstly, let me apologize to the leasing office + other staff. Yall are doing a lot! Im sorry I did not see that and appreciate that sooner. Ive lived here over 2 years now and its changed over those 2 years. At first the leasing office didnt communicate much but now they keep us all updated. I used to never be able to get through to the office but now I can. It used to take days to get a response from an email but now it doesnt. You can expect a timely response from the office! They will listen and work with you for whatever it is you might need. There are a LOT of kids! I wish parents would supervise their children especially in the parking lot but apparently thats too high of an expectation for some parents which is sad. The leasing office has taken many steps to wrangle in the children, now its in the hands of the parents. This is a nice place to live. The apartments themselves are nice. We love our layout and how close we are to many activities and our jobs. Maintenance has always taken care of us from the little to the big. Overall, Id recommend living here.

If you value the safety of your family, I highly recommend staying away from this complex. While the location and the apartments are nice, and spacious, there is a lot to be desired from the management office. The people at the office are nice, and act like they care, but in my experience they did not do much to solve the issue. Furthermore, they expect you or the police to be the only proactive force and take care of their problem. We stayed in this complex for 2 years, and never had a problem with any of our neighbors. That its until they rented the upstairs apartment to a mentally unstable individual known to the police for harassing neighbors in her previous apartments complex. Without any provocation, and out of the blue this person would come yelling, calling names and harassing me and my family in the hallways and the parking lots. She alleged that we were doing black magic on her, and that she could feel vibrations coming up from my downstairs apartment. As landlords you would think that management will act as mediators and find a solution that would work for both parties. But they never did, multiple complaints, and calls to the police, nothing came out of it. They were more worried about being sued for discrimination by this person. They clearly said there was not much they could do because they saw this situation as a civil matter, not a criminal one. Like they were waiting for her to hurt me or my family to actually do something. Ive lived in places way worse than Ballantyne and never felt so unsafe, and like I must watch my back coming in and out of my home. For the amount of money they charge Im sure you can find a better place where management provide a safe living environment for their tenants. But more importantly, that they are willing and prepared to address these types of situations.

They boot your car with NO legal divulgingwarning of such on the premises ($150 each). They charged me $848 after I had moved out ($300 for water alone, and several hundred for "teeth marks on blinds?.?.). We left the apartment in very good condition, and I took a video and picture for evidence bc I did not trust them at all. The staff are snooty, and I dreaded making a maintenance request because of the way the oldest maintenance man treated us. Move to Enclave, down the street. MUCH nicer place to be!
