Alas, after over 40 years of experience in never locking myself out of the house, I finally did - much to my chagrin - on a cold, rainy day at that! Thank goodness I had my phone on me AND we have a covered porch - with chairs! I called Pearman and he arrived within 30 minutes. I sure appreciated the prompt service. If your house is locked down like Fort Knox like ours is, just expect to have to buy a new lock as well. It still locks just fine, but its ugly. Yes, I feel like I just paid a guy $125 to break into my own house, but its an expensive lesson learned. I will now wear my key on a chain around my neck like some kid since Im obviously not smarter than a 5th grader, and off to the hardware store I go..
