So far Las Vegas has not put out the Welcome mat anymore. I first visited Vegas in 1995 for about 10 days. Visted hotels like Vegas World, downtown hotels, Laughlins Gold Nugget, Now the old Vegas is Dead. Greed is now taken over and since this site is fund by a room tax on all hotels here is my 2 cents. City has been getting more expensive year by year, last visits were 2016, 2019, 2020 , 2021. Most Casino Hotels now have a Resort fee and the fee is also taxed. Many try to hide the fee by saying rate doesn't include resort fee and many times all the ammenites are not available; yet the fee is not lowered. Many times the Resort fees almost double the original rate. Some that hotels that charge a Resort fees are not even have a resort, no a pool, the word Resort many times is just marketing BS. Made my last trip to Vegas in 2021, I can pay high prices a lot closer to home like in Mississippi and at least avoid the air fare. The Corporations that currently run the hotels in Vegas are bigger crooks then the Mobsters they replaced, At least they took a percentage of the top, the corporations take it from most everything they offer.
