Pembroke Academy

My friends daughter attends this school. I attended their Open House with them in September, and it was the most well-organized, thoughtfully put together school event I think Ive ever seen. The principal delivered important information for parents to know while sharing some great news about all of the successes this school is experiencing! The entire staff was there to meet and greet the families, and you could just feel the warmth and genuine care throughout the school on this day. The students all looked happy and proud to be a part of this wonderful school. I was highly impressed with everything I saw! If youre looking for a gem of a school, this is it!

Im kinda worried about putting my son in this school. All the students seem very sick. They just be coughing all day nonstop. My kids dont often get sick, so if they start coming home sick, this place will definitely be to blame. I dont understand how they ask us parents for cleaning supplies that suppose to help with germs and stuff but the kids are still always coughing and sick? Smh. Update: it would have been nice to be able to walk my child into school on they first day to have a chance to give them a hug goodbye smh. The old black security guard and big white lady at the door was doing too much. Other than that, I think my daughter should have great teachers. The teachers and dean seem very sweet and respectful.

I had a really bad experience at this school for testing. The lady at the front desk and the woman who tested my son werent friendly at all kind of dry. Soon as it was time to test they asked my son whats your name ?! HOW OLD ARE YOU ?!! both at the same time. Mind you my son has had a transplant and has lot of hospital time as a kid. Hes definitely not used to be ppl being down his throat trying to get answers. I felt like they were asking because they didnt really wanna test based off his response. Hes definitely shy and never been to a school setting EVER. He ran out of the test unable to complete. We go back to the office. THE LADY THAT SITS AT THE DESK SAID AS A MOM WITH A kid your son shows signs of autism. AND IT WAS ANOTHER PARENT SITTING THERE. She didnt care but had the nerve to tell me to Sit in the hallway while my son tested because she had to make personal callsss. But you can embarrass and discourage me while another parent is sitting there. & the girl who tests just wasnt it DRY LIKE SHES THERE JUST DO HER JOB THATS IT. The principal called me hours after we left she was nice for the most part but I wish we never even came to this school.
